Simrad® NSS® 4 and NSO® 4 with C-MAP® X Charts Meet Updated Norwegian Requirements for Small Commercial Vessels
Simrad® marine electronics has announced that Simrad® NSS® 4 and NSO® 4 chartplotters, when used with C-MAP® DISCOVER® X and REVEAL® X electronic nautical charts, meet the applicable Norwegian requirements for electronic nautical charts aboard certain small commercial vessels operating in Norway.
The compliance determination aligns with Norwegian Maritime Authority Regulations No. 2652, introduced on 16 December 2025, which establish requirements for nautical charts used on cargo vessels under 12 meters in length and vessels without a wheelhouse.
