The compact Simrad SonarHub module provides an all-in-one solution to add StructureScan HD imaging and CHIRP broadband sonar capabilities to Simrad Professional Series NSE, NSO, and NSO evo2 multifunction displays.
Simrad StructureScan HD
StructureScan HD combines SideScan and DownScan sonar technologies to provide a panoramic view to the left, right, and directly beneath your vessel, in picture-perfect detail and to a maximum depth of 91m / 300ft.
With StructureScan HD, professional fishers can easily locate edges, channels, drop-offs and wrecks where fish conceal themselves, for a superior fishfinding experience.
Patrol boats can conduct underwater searches with unprecedented speed, thanks to StructureScan HD’s easily-interpreted, true-to-life images. Search a 200m by 200m area in less than an hour, before you put divers into the water.
CHIRP Broadband SONAR
Compression Modulation (CHIRP) technology delivers improved echosounder performance over all depth ranges, up to a maximum of 1,067m / 3,000ft (transducer dependent).
With lower power output and higher frequency than traditional sonar, CHIRP ‘whispers’ into the water, helping to locate fish without disturbance. CHIRP also offers lower power consumption than traditional sonar, ideal for smaller vessels.
Choose any single-channel CHIRP transducer that best suits your vessel’s design and purpose, with frequencies available for optimal inshore, offshore, or combined usage.
Simrad and AIRMAR Transducer Support
SonarHub provides ports for two transducers: one broadband CHIRP (40-60kHz, 85-145kHz, 130-210kHz) or traditional narrowband (50kHz, 83kHz, 200kHz), and one StructureScan HD (455/800kHz).
Compatible Simrad and AIRMAR transducers are sold separately.
Three built-in Ethernet ports allow connection to multiple Simrad MFDs, without the need for a separate Ethernet switch.
These ports can also be used to link other performance modules such as 4G Broadband Radar or WiFi-1 wireless networking to a connected MFD, minimising installation complexity and limiting cost on simpler installations.
